1. You can begin to embed the British value of ‘respect and tolerance’ within your teaching by modelling respectful and tolerant behaviours yourself. You can set an example for your A-level students to follow by listening respectfully to their opinions and ideas, as well as showing tolerance and understanding for different perspectives and views.

2. You can create an environment within your classroom that is conducive to open dialogue, where respectful and tolerant discussions can take place. You can encourage students to express themselves without fear of judgement and emphasise the importance of listening to one another without judgement.
